What to Call You

Chris and I have a lot of nick names for our kids and not all of them are as preferred as others.  Sometimes Link likes to dictate his own nickname.  For instance, here is a conversation that I had with him the other day.

Allie: "Hey Bubs, do you like it when I call you 'Sweetie?'"
Link: "I do not like it."
Allie: "What do you want me to call you instead?"
Link: "Pumpkin."

And here I thought it was because 'Sweetie' was too girly...

March Quotes

Link has been extremely funny this month.  I got out to the car as Chris was loading him in to hear the last part of this exchange:

Link: "Stop saying 'Stop!'!"
Chris: "Then stop poking my face."


- During hard contractions, Link asked why I was sad and said, "Is Nona trying to escape?"

- After Link met Nona at the hospital, he asked, "Did Nona slide out?"

- Every time Link gets up from his nap, he comes to find me and says, "I just came to check on you!" (Or Baberton or Nona if they are up)

- One time, we heard Link get up from his nap, go to the fridge, then go back to his room and shut the door.  About 20 minutes later, he comes out and when we ask him if he got up earlier, he says, "I was just thirsty."

- While playing with Nona's elephant rattle, he said, "This guy has a lot of hair.  He needs to shave.  He looks like Daddy."

- After Link brought a broken toy to us, Chris told him that he might not be able to fix it.  Link said, "Do not be ridiculous.  You can fix it!"

- At nap time, Link said, "Daddy is only good for [playing] chase."  A couple of hours later, Link asked Chris to play with him by saying, "Will you play with me because you are the best?"
